SafeWalk - My first Android Application
Overview
"Safewalk" was developed by a team consisting of myself and three other students, as a senior programming term project. We were tasking with conceptualizing a mobile app, designing a prototype using figma, building it, then finally demonstrating it once it was finished. We came up with an app where a user could create and save a "route" that they expected to be taking, and could then share with the contacts stored on their device. View it on GitHub here.
Key Contributions
My primary contribution to this project, once the features and scope of the project had been finalized, was the implementation of all features of the "main" screen, where users would save, load, and configure routes, as well as start and end these routes.

- React Native: Primary programming language
- Expo: Framework used for development, testing, and deployment
- Libraries used: React Native Paper, React Native Maps, Expo Location, React Native Elements, Prop Types
- Firebase: Back end database used for storage of user credentials and saved routes, as well as deployment
